    What Does The Program Cost?

    We are here to help launch the next generation of massage therapists and strive to keep the cost of the program as affordable as possible.  In addition, your tuition covers all textbooks, a complete set of massage sheets, and the state fee for your license in order to help launch your career as a massage therapist.

    The next full time program begins September 9,  2024.   

    The next part time program begin January 13, 2025.   

     Applications for both programs are currently being accepted.  The application deadline is July 15, 2024 for the full time program and October 31, 2024 for the part time program.

    Brenda Howell

    A licensed massage therapist and clinic owner since 2015, Brenda has Advanced Certifications in: Myofascial Release, Neural Reset Therapy, Medical Massage and Lymphedema. She also holds a Master’s degree in Exercise Science with a concentration in Rehabilitation Sciences.
    She specializes in treating chronic disorders of the musculo-skeletal system & disorders stemming from the central and peripheral nervous system.

    Kelly Bowers

    A licensed massage therapist since 2000, Kelly specializes in manual lymph drainage, myofacial release, and scar release. Many of her clients are people living with chronic conditions (such as fibromyalgia) as well as people recovering from surgery. Kelly has been teaching for 14 years including continuing education business classes. She holds a Baccalaureate Degree in Journalism.

    Hayde Chacon

    Hayde Chacon started practicing massage therapy in 2015 after graduation from Charles of Italy School of Massage in Lake Havasu City, AZ. She holds certifications in Hot Stone, Cupping, Chair, Table Thai Massage, as well as Ethics and Pathology certifications.  Hayde has worked as a therapist in a variety of settings including chiropractic offices.

    Elizabeth Fuller

    Elizabeth Fuller is a graduate of Methodist University’s Doctor of Physical Therapy program. She has been a licensed physical therapist since 2018 and has worked in outpatient orthopedics and an assisted  living facility. She has been an adjunct faculty member at Methodist University since 2021, helping to orchestrate the cadaver lab portion of the DPT program’s anatomy class.

    Lydia Kravitz

    Lydia Kravitz is one of our clinical instructors.  She has been a Licensed Massage Therapist since 2005.  Lydia is currently working on her BSBA through Western Carolina University.  One of Lydia’s specialties is myofascial release and structural integration. She will be sharing this knowledge in the 12 hour myofascial release section in our Modalities class.

    Emily Leupold

    Emily Leupold is one of our clinical instructors.  She has been a Licensed Massage Therapist since 2001.  Whie in school Emily took a special  interest in Reflexology and shares her love for that subject with our Modalities class students.  Emily has also studied Prenatal and Postpartum massage through the Claire Marie Miller seminars and has begun working as a Doula in  Tennessee where she holds her LMBT (Licensed Massage & Bodywork Therapist).

    Devonia Moore

    Devonia Moore has been a licensed
    massage therapist since 2010. One of
    her passions is health and wellness.
    So she became certified as a Rehab
    Fitness Specialist and then completed
    a Strength and Conditional Training
    course. Devonia continued to pursue
    education and in February of 2021, she
    became a Certified Personal Trainer.
    We are excited to have her teach our
    sports massage class.

    Dr. Dawn Ruminski

    Dr. Ruminski has a bachelor’s degree
    in emergency medical care, a master’s
    in public health, and earned her
    medical degree at WVSOM in 2008. She
    served in the US Army for 10 years as
    a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine
    before moving to private practice at
    Valley Physical Medicine. She is also
    a physician acupuncturist, trained by
    Helms Medical Institute as well as an
    instructor for ACLS, ATLS, TC3, BFA
    and OMT.

    Jim Watson

    Jim Watson spent 12 years working as a physical therapy assistant (PTA) before attending massage therapy school at IMBT. We’re proud that Jim was part of our first graduating class! Jim is a passionate learner and his love for learning comes through as he continues to educate patients now as a MT, just as he did as a PTA

    Carolyn Bowe

    Carolyn Bowe is the Administrator and Director of Education. She has a Baccalaureate degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Education. Carolyn taught middle school before moving on to an independent study school where she taught grades 3-12. She has been working for a local medical massage clinic in the front office since 2019. Carolyn can help you with any questions on curriculum or process.
